Our Journey

Brewing History for Over Seven Decades

Founded on Amoy Street in 1950, Kopi House began as a small roadside stall catering to the busy merchants, coolies, and early pioneers of the young Singapore nation. Our founder, Mr. Tan, masterfully roasted his robusta beans with a touch of butter and sugar, creating a scent that commanded the street corners.

Today, while Singapore's skyline has transformed dramatically, our roasting and brewing philosophy remains untouched. We still pull our coffee using the traditional flannel cloth sock filters and serve every breakfast with the same passion and community warmth that started it all.

Tales from Our Tables

"The Kaya Toast here is unrivaled. It has that distinctive smoky charcoal crunch that modern electric toasters simply cannot replicate. And the Kopi-C is incredibly smooth!"

"Reminds me of Sunday mornings with my grandfather in the 1970s. The aroma of butter-roasted coffee is identical. True custodians of Singaporean Heritage."
